Responsible play
BetGames is a free skill-competition platform. This page sets out how we treat player care today, and the commitments already built into our architecture for if paid play is ever approved.
Free today, by design
No money moves through BetGames
There are no deposits, no withdrawals and no stakes anywhere on the platform. Every competition is free to enter, so it is not possible to lose money by playing today. This isn't a promotional claim — the payment infrastructure simply doesn't exist yet, and switching it on requires recorded legal and compliance approval first.
If paid play is ever approved
We are not building player-protection tools after the fact. The controls below are design commitments already accounted for in the platform's architecture, so that if paid competitions are ever approved, they ship alongside the feature — not months later.
- Deposit and activity limits
- You will be able to set a limit on spend and time. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising one takes effect only after a cooling-off period, so a bad moment can't override a limit you set with a clear head.
- Cooling-off periods
- A short, temporary break from paid features that you can start yourself, with no way to reverse it early.
- Self-exclusion
- A longer, harder block you can place on your own account. Support is not able to lift it early on your behalf.
- Reality checks
- A plain, on-screen reminder of how long you have been playing during a session, shown at an interval you choose.
- Activity statements
- A complete, exportable history of your play and spend. Never obscured, never buried behind extra steps.
Healthy play
- Decide how long you're playing before you start, not while you're mid-match.
- Take a break if a session stops being enjoyable.
- Play for the competition, not to prove something to yourself or anyone else.
- Notice if you're using play to avoid something else you'd rather not think about.
- Talk to someone if gaming starts to feel compulsive rather than fun.
What we will never do
We will never use manipulative prompts, fake urgency (countdowns designed to rush a decision) or loss-recovery messaging anywhere on the platform, now or if paid features are ever added.
