Why location matters

The law governing skill-based competitions is not the same in every jurisdiction, so we treat every market as closed until it has been checked. BetGames runs on a deny-by-default jurisdiction engine: a new market stays switched off, with nothing visible or playable, until it has recorded legal approval to open. Great Britain is the only region we have approved and switched on so far.

We do not provide, and will not help you use, any method to make it look as though you are playing from a supported location when you are not.

Free play today, more checks if paid play arrives

Because every competition is currently free, our location checks today are intentionally light — enough to confirm you are in a supported region. If paid competitions are ever approved, entering them will require stronger identity and location verification, rolled out market by market alongside the legal approval for that market.
