The format

How it works

Same challenge. Verified result. Best performance wins. Here's the whole pipeline, from queue to settlement.

  1. 01

Create your account (or don't, yet)

You can try Precision Rush as a guest straight away. An account — just an email — saves verified scores, unlocks head-to-head matches and starts your rating.

  2. 02

Enter the queue or call someone out

Hit Find match to join the open queue, or generate a private invite code and send it to a friend. Either way, a match room opens with the challenge already sealed.

  3. 03

The challenge is sealed before anyone plays

The server generates the full 60-second target sequence from a cryptographically secure seed and publishes a SHA-256 commitment on the match. Both players face identical targets, sizes, movement and timing. Neither player — nor the platform — can change it afterwards.

  4. 04

Play your run when you're ready

Matches are asynchronous: you don't need to be online together. Starting your run reveals the challenge to you and starts your one attempt. Matches expire after 48 hours if a side never plays — no result, no rating change.

  5. 05

    Your inputs are the submission

The game records every tap with millisecond timing. That raw event log — not a score — is what gets submitted. The server replays it through the same deterministic engine and computes the official score itself.

  6. 06

    Settlement

When both runs are verified, the higher server-computed score wins and ratings move. Equal scores share the position — there is never a random tie-breaker. Runs that trip anomaly checks go to human review before anything settles.

Modes

What's live and what's locked

We'd rather show you a lock than a countdown. Disabled means disabled — at every layer.

Practice

Live

Unlimited free runs. Signed-in practice is server-verified and feeds the practice leaderboard; guest runs are local demos.

Free competition

Live

Head-to-head matches and private challenges. No entry fee, no monetary prize — rating, record and bragging rights.

Sponsored tournaments

Disabled

Architecture exists; every format needs compliance approval and published sponsor terms before it can open. Off until then.

Paid competition

Hard-locked

Entry-fee play is disabled at interface, API and database level. It stays off unless written legal approval for Great Britain, KYC, payments and dual-admin activation all land first. No date is promised.
