Gridlock
A sealed 120-piece stream, an 8×8 board, no clock pressure — the board itself is the enemy. Both players place the identical pieces.
The run
How it plays
- The tray always holds three pieces; it refills in stream order once all three are down.
- Rows and columns clear simultaneously; back-to-back clearing placements build a combo.
- No rotations — the piece you see is the piece you place.

Scoring formula · versioned
Every point, accounted for
Integer arithmetic only — the same result on every device, every time. Changing any number creates a new scoring version; old results never change.
| Component | Condition | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Placed cell | per cell of the piece | +2 |
| Cleared cell | per cell in a full line | +10 |
| Line bonus | per line; ×2 when 2+ clear together | +100 |
| Combo | consecutive clearing placements | +60×combo |
| No space | nothing fits — run over, score kept | run over |
Fairness
Chance never picks the winner
The challenge is sealed and identical for both players — variety without advantage. Every official score is replayed and verified on the server.
