Online Lotto Games

Operated by the Camelot Group, the National Lottery is the state-franchised lottery of the United Kingdom.
Since the granting of its licence in 1994, UK’s National Lottery has been operating under the regulations of the National Lottery Commission, established by the government of John Major.

The prizes of the National Lottery are tax-free and all the money spent on the games, including online lotto games, are shared between the prize fund (50%), “good causes” fund (28%), the UK Government’s duty (12%), retailers’ commission (5%), and Camelot (5%).

Players eligible to play the lottery must be at least 16 years of age and tickets can be purchased either from approved premises in the UK or online, given buyers have a UK bank account and are resident in the UK and the Isle of Man.

There is no actual difference between playing offline or online lotto games. Instant Wins online games are similar to scratchcards, but are definitely more enjoyable and fun due to the interactive play available like dice-rolling or symbol-matching activities. All you need to do to have access to these Instant Win games, or to any other online lotto games if that matter, is to register for an account on the National Lottery website.

From here on, you have the chance to try your luck on the online LOTTO, EURO MILLIONS, THUNDERBALL, LOTTO HOTPICKS games or any other games available in the GAME STORE.

How to Play Online Lottery Games

LOTTODue to the regulation change of October 2015, you now have to choose 6 numbers between 1 and 59 and if get all the numbers on main balls drawn on every Wednesday or Saturday night, you are the happy winner of the jackpot. The online lottery also gives you the opportunity to have your numbers chosen randomly, with the Lucky Dip option. Usually, Wednesday jackpots reach around £ 2 million, while Saturday jackpots go as high as £3.8 or even 4 million.

If two or more players match all the six numbers on the draw, the full lottery sum is equally divided among them. If no one gets all the six numbers right, the prize is rolled over to the next draw. According to the latest rules of August 2016, which are still applicable, if the Lotto jackpot reaches £22 million or more, and there is no winner, the lottery will rollover another last time. If the prize is still not won with a perfect 6-number match, the entire prize sum will be shared among the players with the most winning numbers matched.

EUROMILLIONSThis cross-European lottery was launched by Camelot on the 7th of February 2004, the first draw having taken place in Paris. Initially, only UK, France and Spain took part, but on the 8th of October the same year, Ireland, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland and Portugal also joined. Draws currently take place in Paris and are presented in the UK on BBC One, 3 hours after the draw.

This is where the UK-resident-only policy has changed, allowing concierge services to broker ticket purchasing outside the UK.

THUNDERBALLThe online Thunderball game requires players to choose 5 numbers between 1 and 39 and another number from 1 to 14, which is the Thundarball number. Matching the 5 numbers with the draw brings you the prize, but also matching the Thunderball number will bring higher winnings. Also, simply matching the Thunderball number alone will also bring you £3.

LOTTO HOTPICKSUsing the same 6 numbers like in the standard online lotto game version, Lotto Hotpicks is in itself a different game, more precisely, you have to choose both the numbers and the number of balls you will try to match, which is a maximum of 5. If you don’t match ALL the numbers chosen, you lose. Plus, Lotto Hotpicks gives you 5 ways to play this game, by picking your matches. See below:
